For the past ten years, the PCC Group has been organizing The Open Day events for university students. During these events, students can learn more about the PCC Group and see what it’s like to work at a modern chemical company.
This year’s event took place on April 25, 2025. We welcomed a total of about 100 students from the Wrocław University of Technology and the Silesian University of Technology.
There were interesting presentations about the company itself and student programs, such as the Summer Internship Program and the Scholarship Program. Students had the opportunity to take tours of the production facilities to see what the chemical plants look like.
The tour itinerary also included visits to R&D laboratories and departments, where students had the chance to see what working with modern equipment looks like and what challenges are associated with chemical production on an industrial scale. The Open Day participants also had the chance to meet specialists working at our Group and explore the career development opportunities the PCC Group has to offer. Our Open Day wouldn’t have been complete without games and activities; the visiting students were eager to test their chemistry knowledge in the Chemiliada.
The Open Day was a great opportunity for us to inspire young talent and show them the opportunities for growth in the chemical industry. We would like to thank all the students for attending and for their engagement, as well as for the positive feedback we received after the event.
91.86% of the surveyed students rated the organization of our event as Excellent or Very Good, while the remaining 8.33% rated it as Good. Additionally, 93% of respondents indicated that they would recommend our event to other students.
Among the surveyed students, 87.5% stated that after visiting us, they became more interested in the programs we offer, so the goal of our event was achieved!
We’re already seeing this in practice, as many students have already decided to collaborate with us, starting internships this summer.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to organizing this event, as well as the students for their active participation and curiosity about the world of chemistry. We are already inviting you to the next edition in 2026, so that more students can discover the secrets of our chemical magic.
Let’s build a bridge between science and industry together!
